  Description Of The Project 
               

One World - One Environment

 


Definition to the project:
 

    This project is part of the i-earn project on the title One world- One Environment which talks about how to save our planet from pollution.

   The basic aim of the project is to rise students' awareness and interest in how to share in saving the planet and reduce pollution.
 
 Goals of the project
1- To draw and comment on different aspects of the earth pollution.
2- To write reports for different topics mainly about pollution and ways to protect our earth. 
3- To write about student's feelings and poems concerning the earth pollution and the global in general. 
4- To gather all the previous information and publish a booklet. 
5- To make posters that illustrate ideas towards a green environment.

 Target Group: 

   Students of 8th and 9th Grade at Shu'fat Basic Girls School.

 
Teachers participating:

Mrs. Jihan Hallak, teacher of nutrition and public health.
Mr. Jawad Nashashibi, teacher of computer.
Miss. Rania Abed Rabbo, teacher of English.
Procedure:

1- The teacher gave them the topics for the reports and drawings.
2- Students gather the information needed.
3- Students draw pictures that express their ideas and feelings about saving  the planet.
4- The teacher download students' work on the i-earn site as well as on the school website.
5- The teacher check the semantic and syntactic part of students' work.
Assessment:
 
  Questionnaire that deals with the following aspects:

                   1-Students' reports .


                   2- Students' drawings.


                   3- Pollution.
Recommendation.
 1- To focus on the practical rather than the theoretical one regarding the environment.
 2- To arrange visits to water-labs and recycling factories.
 3- To increase the number of trips to natural preservations.
